Camping and Recreation Areas

TVA operates some 100 public recreation areas throughout the Tennessee Valley , including campgrounds, day-use areas, and boat launching ramps.

All of the campgrounds will open for the 2008 season on March 14 and remain open until November 17. The Douglas Dam Tailwater Campground will remain open until December 15. TVA's day-use areas remain open throughout the year and provide trails, picnic areas, overlooks, beaches, swimming areas, fishing access, and wildlife viewing.

With water, electric, and sewer service: $24*
